Heirloom Crochet Christening Dress

It is a very simple and beautiful christening gown. If you are interested in thread crochet and lace christening gowns, this is a pattern worth considering. This sweet little pattern is located at http://web.archive.org/web/20040607005031/www.jacqscrochet.com/christeningdress.htm.

I started making it on February 22nd, 2008. I am using Aunt Lydia's Fine Crochet Thread size 20 and it's getting a little fuzzy. I would definitely recommend using DMC Cebelia as specified by Jacqui.

So far I am probably 1/2 to 2/3 done with it. It's hard to keep going as it keeps putting me to sleep. The results are worth it. Here's how it looks so far...

I want to make a matching coverlet, booties and cap...

Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment! :D

Please, I am desperately tryint to get to the pattern instructions for this dress, but I am having no luck at all. Because this was a free pattern, would you be willing to post the instructions here. I used this same pattern for my daughter's blessing gown and it turned out absolutely beautiful, but unfortunately, I have lost the hard copy of the pattern. Thank you for your help.

I will see if I can find the instructions. It's been awhile since I downloaded them. I know I have them; it's just a matter of locating them.

I am unable to share this pattern unless I can get permission from the original designer. This information is quoted directly from the sheet that I have.

I will check on Ravelry to see if the pattern is available on the internet at all.

Unfortunately that link is not working either...anyone have a means to share this pattern. I am awaiting the arrival of my first grandchild and would like to make it.

I am sorry the link did not work for you. I checked it and it went directly to the archive with no problem. It even has a picture of the dress.

I clicked on the link in the first paragraph of this post.
