Thank you for access to this pattern. How did you keep it from curling as you went? Did it stop at a certain point? I am using the afghan stitch.
Frances
You're welcome Frances. There are three things I did to help reduce the curl: 1) Use a larger hook. Makes a drapier fabric overall.; 2) Add a border. I used crab stitch to border the blanket.; 3) Use steam to block the blanket. Imperative that you don't actually touch the iron to the fabric if it is acrylic. Just the steam. I have a steamer so I was able to steam the blanket.
Was wondering how do you follow the chart/pattern to know where you are with your work? Thanks for the pattern Love It!! But am concerned about how to know where I am as I work.
Donna
Hello Donna Poe.
I use a mask on the razorback and lettering portion of the pattern. The remainder of the stitches are background. The mask can be a piece of paper clipped over the areas you've already completed or to cover the part of the pattern you haven't worked yet. Lastly, Post-It actually makes huge pads of paper. I cut off the paper part and use the sticky strip to track my location. :)
Thanks for the info!! I hope to get brave enough to try!!
Did you ever take a picture of the final product?
